Focus: The Kensington Market Community Land Trust (KMCLT) is a community initiative created to protect the social and economic diversity of our neighbourhood.
Through the land trust model, the KMCLT will work with residents, merchants, community groups and lovers of Kensington Market to acquire land for the good of the entire community. We hope to continue Kensington Market’s tradition of small store on the ground and affordable living quarters above. The KMCLT promotes community participation in how land is used to keep Kensington Market eclectic, vibrant and welcoming to all.
