Join us for the third annual Community Land Trust Summit this September 18-21, 2025 in beautiful Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia) – livestreaming available!
The Summit is an international gathering of champions of community land stewardship, hosted by the Canadian Network of Community Land Trusts (CNCLT). Expect inspiring keynotes, lively discussions, guided tours, and networking opportunities.
Early-stage community land trusts will benefit from a series of workshops by the Canadian Network of Community Land Community Land Trusts’ technical team. Members of the Canadian Network of Community Land Trusts enjoy a discount to the event as well as access to members-only discussions and workshops (e.g. Towards a National Community Land Trust Advocacy Strategy; Co-creating CNCLT’s next Strategic Plan)
This year’s theme is “Peace and Friendship”, referencing the treaties between the Crown and the Wabanaki Confederacy (i.e. Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, Abenaki, Penobscot, and Passamaquoddy peoples) signed throughout the 18th century. We encourage attendees to learn more about the treaties and come ready and open to discuss how the community land trust movement can align itself between with Reconciliation, decolonization, and land return to Indigenous communities across Turtle Island (otherwise known as North America).
Registration and a call for speakers will be issued early March.
